Re: DOF extra & ALF effect 10/29 update

@SomeDudeHere
I think so, it's still based on existed method, not so much a technical break through.
Check original presentation here by ATI in GDC2004 if you are interested.

@all
Working on Sunsprite now, DoF optimization might need to wait for a while.

kingeric1992 -- I made a little video with your DOF. If you don't mind.

VIDEO

It's truly cinematic experience.
Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately, I can't live without your chromatic aberration :)

Re: DOF extra & ALF effect 10/29 update

Your DOF shader is hands down the best ENB DOF ever.

Re: DOF extra & ALF effect 10/29 update

I've been experimenting with this shader and it's really quite nice, however I noticed when trying to make it into something playable, setting CoClerp to 0 still blurs near objects a little bit. Seems to be related to that smart blur fix.

Viscerous
Thank you for the feed back, but I'm not sure what exactly the problem is or what you want to achieve with this. Please give me more info or a screenshot so I can pinpoint the problem.
And by playable, I'm assuming you have trouble with shallow depth of field? Short FocalLength and larger F_Number should gives a wide dof suitable for gaming.

MaxTheUniqueGamer
Glad you like it.

Re: DOF extra & ALF effect 10/29 update

This is pretty much my go to DOF at this point. Great work and while it is taking me some time to figure out all the options I really like how it makes things look.

Re: DOF extra & ALF effect 12/13

*update 12/13 :
update dof files. replace "=" in string UIName, which will cause .fx.ini overflow.

@All
Sorry guys, just found out I've made a terrible mistake. :oops:

Apparently, string UIName="==something=="; will cause .fx.ini to overflow.
basically, the first string character must not be "=", otherwise the string will keep updating it self every time ENB loads, regardless any existed identical strings.

You can also delete those identical lines in enbseries/enbprepass.fx.ini if you like.

@wolfgrimdark
Working on something big lately? :P

Re: DOF extra & ALF effect 12/13

Nothing special I am afraid - just my stories. I did, however, make this DOF file (a version of it) the default DOF for my Malacath preset (which is my "pet" preset I play with the most) as I think it is great for doing more extreme/fantasy/cinematic style gaming. Also very easy to adjust it so you can play the game with it and then tweak it for screenshots.

I have gotten some very cool effects with it - all in game. Just one example:

Thanks for the update/fix as well.
