Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Update: while this patch is untested with SSE I took the liberty of fixing a reported crash that occured near Anga's Mill. As far as I know it only happened with SSE.

Hi Mindflux could you do a patch for subsurface scattering for glaciers (glacierslab glaciercavenetrance nifs) they kill detail on texture and under-texture (with multilayer parallax)
without enb:
https://postimage.org/
with enb:
https://postimage.org/
NO ENB:
https://postimage.org/
ENB:
https://postimage.org/
I narrowed down the culprit to subsurface scattering in enb, disabling it brings the detail on textures back (I manage to bring the detail with alpha mask but still it's bad)
I am sure you know what to do, whilst to me it's 3-5 days lost, so if you can please patch it or at least guide me to change (what to change and how much)
The detail without enb is very nice (the dark dots it's just unmatching dark snow.dds nothing to do with my work), I'd hate to loose 80% of it because of an enb, it's really sad to me

No problem, patch updated. Please let me know if it works better now.
By the way, an odd coincidence - you joined the board at exactly he same hour as I did, albeit a few years earlier.

because this is not coincidence, this is destiny!
do I link up to this enb site or put you nif glacier files (for user convenience) inside my mod texture with you name in capital letters on it?
Did you edit all the nif file using glacierslab.dds? there are many unfortunately: icepile nifs (10 of them), glaciertrim, glacierrubble, iceberg files (iceberg large, small), otherwise it looks odd one glacier fixed all around not (now you gonna hate me)
best and big thx

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
No worries, just glad to be of help.
I tried to catch all of the affected files, but if something looks odd or out of place just drop a note with a screenshot and I'll take another look. Clever work figuring out it's the SSS causing the issue, by the way, as it indeed is.
How you use the files is completely up to you, they're free to use with or without credit.

you're joking right, ofc I will credit you,
I just can't see the files (maybe site lag)
I'll wait some: I downloaded all and landscape has only volcanic entry without ice folder

Well - the patch is mostly untested on SSE.
That said, I can take a look. Where, when and which weather?
