mindflux or someone that knows, can you list the meshes that only effect fires.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Do you mean anything to with fire or just anything with flames?

The list is probably not 100% exhaustive (just eyeballing), but should get you going:

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Thanks for taking the time mindflux, very much appreciated.

I was mostly looking for flames, meshes in the the core folder that made flames look so good.

Currently modding special edition, but I remember how amazing the flames looked in oldrim after using the
particle patch. Never did use any fire mods, because I preferred the vanilla flames with particle patch applied.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

I appear to be having an issue regarding fire FX with the patch enabled.

I can't seem to trigger it consistently, as loading a saved game in a cell with these fires does not result in this stretching effect, but sometimes when I travel to one of these cells it appears.
The affected mesh appears to be \meshes\effects\fxfirewithembers01_cheap.nif as far as I can tell, although this may not be correct. I'm using Rudy ENB with NLVA, and am running v0.315 of the ENB binaries.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Is this with SSE or the classic Skyrim?

In case it's that mesh the problem should disappear if you delete (or simply rename) the mesh, although I guess it's difficult to test if the issue is sporadic.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Ah, Oldrim, should have specified that too. I'll try just disabling that mesh and see if I can trigger the issue again.

EDIT: As far as I can tell, this deformation only occurs in Whiterun, only in the presence of other mods (currently trying to figure out which one), and occurs randomly on cell transition.

Also, if you continue to enter/exit the cell after mesh has already started to deform, bad things happen.

EDIT 2: My previous observation that this occurs due to another mod was incorrect, my sample size was simply too small. With nothing but ENB, SKSE, and the particle patch (everything else disabled within MO), the deformation of this mesh still occurs - but still only in Whiterun, which is the most baffling bit. Going anywhere else with that particular mesh and performing the same procedure (repeatedly transitioning in/out of a nearby cell) results in no issues.

Furthermore, renaming or removing the fxfirewithembers01_cheap.nif does seem to fix the issue, but also results in the particle patch obviously not applying to these fires.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Sorry for the delay, have been so busy at work that only now had the time to look into this issue.

Not sure since I can't repro the issue myself but I'm hoping that this does the trick: https://mega.nz/#!G98EVI6a!ytCXqcsm8v9k ... 0cYvxVLTaw

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Issue appears to be resolved based on 20 minutes of testing. I'll be sure to alert you if it resurfaces, but considering that with the old file, the issue resurfaced within 5 minutes, I doubt it will.
