Hi Boris, could you explain what's skylighting? I noticed it's disabled by default in latest 182 ini. When i turned it on, the world just brightens a lot, but leave less shadow than direct light. Feels like something between direct and ambient light. Can't tell for sure, my eyes may have lied to me.
And I didn't find many options to tune skylighting like I can do with direct light in daytime. And why it can't be turned on/off in game?

Re: What is Skylighting?
Sky lighting is a fake or "lite" AO that adds more depth and darkens the shadows cast from trees, NPC, leaves you name it.
AmbientMinLevel - Adjusts the amount of the Sky lighting with a range from 0 to 1, 1 is "vanilla"/brightest.
Then there are the quality settings
Quality
FilterQuality
0, High quality, 1 middle, 2 Performance.
And you have to enable it before you start Skyrim.

Re: What is Skylighting?
--JawZ-- explained everything. It can't be toggled on/off at run time, because it require game shaders to be modified at their creation time (otherwise performance is wasted).
