ENB Skyrim behaving badly

I think this is the right spot to post this. I am having some issues with enb settings, particularly "specular" settings.
It is behaving very badly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Most of the time it shows only on the character and nothing or nobody else.

It works on the load screens...
Most of the time it shows on character only in 1st person (extreme "test settings")...
In 3rd person it rarely shows on anything...
Sometimes it works only on character and only in-doors...
Weird transparency...
I have no idea how to fix it...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: ENB Skyrim behaving badly

First of all, any software which hook in to game process are crapware and unsupported, what else - don't know.

Re: ENB Skyrim behaving badly

First, thanks for the response.

I know that 3rd party programs are never supported officially because bugs/glitches can happen. Everybody has a different setup and it is almost impossible to fix some things for everyone.

The program that is being used is radeonpro. I have a 7970 and that program really seems to help with stuttering that the ati cards suffer from.

I am familiar with how to configure the enbseries.ini. I have been using your great enb’s since GTA 4.
Until recently, everything has been working flawlessly.

The problem I am having is that specular settings only apply to the character and not the environment or any npc’s. I upgraded to version .250 from .246 and that’s when I ran into problems. I tried the going back and still had problem. Before I could make surfaces shiny/wet. Now I can only make the player shiny/wet.

Only the player is shiny.

These last 2 pics posted by Sc01 on the Nexus forums.

The surfaces are shiny and look wet. That is where I am having a problem. I can no longer get that setting. Maybe a little too wet but I can't adjust the settings at all.

Is there anything you would recommend.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as always.

Re: ENB Skyrim behaving badly

So after going through line by line in the sky.ini and skyprefs.ini,
I found the problem.

Somehow I added a line of code to skyrim.ini...

[LightingShader]
fEyeEnvmapLODEnd=0.0
fRefractionLODFadeEnd=0.0
fRefractionLODFadeStart=0.0
fSpecularLODFadeEnd=0.0
fSpecularLODFadeStart=0.0

I deleted that code. However, the save files no longer work

It doesn't matter though, because I can adjust specular again.

This was just a "test" setting to see if it was working...
