TL;DR I have found an issue with the latest Windows 10 and Nvidia drivers where VSync does not seem to enable correctly. Best suggestion that I have found was to force-enable it in the Nvidia driver. Hence this topic.
My setup: Nvidia driver 385.41, Win 10 ver. 1703 build 16281.1000 (Fall creators Build) Skyrim Legendary, ENB 315.
What I noticed: In load / wait screens, (using FRAPS) my FPS ran away to places like >600. My FPS 'seemed' to return to normal when loading finished, but sometimes shot up to over 120 depending on how many objects there were.
BTW, I have NOT changed any ini settings, just forced the VSync in the driver. (Or more correctly, I have 're-normalized' my ini files as if they are controlling VSync...)
Skyrim, VSync enabled in driver, any downsides?
