3840x2160 rendering or 2160p rendering ?

Hi Boris

I'd like to know if it's possible to render Skyrim at 3840x2160?

I've seen this site...http://deadendthrills.com/?cat=314

The guy keeps "claiming" he is rendering the game at 2160p. He also mentioned this... in regards to RAGE. But I think he is doing the same thing for each game including Skyrim.

I tried this and it worked..

Edit your SkyrimPrefs.ini and put settings @

iMultiSample=64
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=2160
iSize W=3840

Run TESV.exe (not the Launcher as it will give error)

Use <PrintScreen> key to capture entire render because <Insert> only gets the visible portion of the draw.

Hope this works for you ;)

x64 multisampling at such resolution is impossible, because x64 means 2160*3840*64 pixels and each pixel for non hdr is at least 12 bytes. Do you have videocard with 6 gb of video memory? For sure x64 multisampling is fake, something done in shaders and not true.
PS: Carmak sucks, he was not pioneer, just a cult person because of famous game. It's like Gainax in anime, almost all products are shit and only NGE and FLCL was good.

@rhinohorn - cool man! ill give this a try and let u know. :)
@boris - i have 3gb of video memory. so maybe?

EDIT - this worked for me as well... :) And with a little creativity and experimenting it actually should be possible to play at that resolution as well.
