Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

Okay, new test. Report which value have no performance loss and no frame skipping.

EDIT: file deleted

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

Boris, Is it enough to change only the DebugValue, or should I press "apply changes" every time ?
For me works only DebugValue1=1, but performace isn't too good. with all the rest I have 35(DebugValue2)-50(DebugValue8) fps, but a lot of frames are gone.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

0.315 = 53 fps

0.318
8 = 54-55 fps
7 = 54 fps
6 = 53-54 fps
5 = 52-53 fps
4 = 51-52 fps
3 = 49-50 fps
2 = 46-47 fps
1 = 40.5 fps

After checking again: stutter/smoothness is the same between 0.315 = 0.318 debugvalue 2 (but i have no mods/textures, so it may differ for other people in intensity, for me it looks the same)
0.318 debugvalue 1 is a lot smoother than 0.315 was, with debugvalue 3 it gets more stutter than 0.315

I also noticed, debugvalue 1 has very stable fps counter of 40.5, no variation at all
All other debugvalues (and also 0.315 dll) have very fast moving fps counter variation.
BUT...
if i disable framelimiter (60) with 0.315 it stays stable at around 53 fps
if i disable framelimiter (60) with 0.318 with other values than 1 it jumps to 20% higher fps

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

Pressing apply changes button not required for that debug value. Okay, seems only two ways left to try out, one is relatively simple to implement and i'll do it very soon for testing (please keep checking this topic), another is very tricky and unusual, longer to develop.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

Okay, test attached, which is better with different debug value

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

For me this framedrop issue is connected to the frame rate. If the frame rate is high, 50-60 fps, the frame dropping is almost gone, even with the DebugValue other then 1. But when the game runs at 30-35 fps, the frame skipping is noticable.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

No problem with those two versions, and all eight DebugValues. Only the AutoAmbient effect looks different, performance is better then in 0.315.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

Are you sure both vesions works fine with debug value 4, high fps and no frame skipping at all, like 315?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.318

both versions are fine for me
same smoothness like 0.315
no framecount jump when you disable framelimiter
all debugvalues are the same in regards to smoothness
i think i have 1 fps more than with 0.315 even
so, both test1/test2 versions look exactly the same for me with all settings
