Re: Fallout 4 0.284 beta

I detected another major bug! When I zoom-in with my Laser Rifle's Night-Vision Scope, the screen goes black and there is no way to bring it back to normal. All I could see was some of my HUD. Even reloading an older savegame would not resolve the issue. Only restarting the game helps. When I remove ENB files, this problems goes away and if I put ENB files back in, this problem re-appears.

BTW, I also noticed ENB makes load times significantly longer and I THINK it made it rain and wet surfaces to appear inside different vehicles. I haven't seen that happen before...

I actually think this is either a vanilla game bug, or something to do with editing the lighting/light-levels (it seems to affect people using Darker Nights and/or Realistic Lights/Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks). Check out Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks V1.4 NightVision FIX (this is the renamed RealisticLights, and by the same author). It fixes the exact problem you are describing.

Boris
I've also got the dark pip-boy action going on.
Edit - I can take screenshots if necessary. =)

I noticed that the static water puddles sky reflection or reflection of whatever, get's "turned off" depending on viewing angle

On

Off

Only present when ENBSeries activated. Did not use ReShade or any other injector combinations while testing this.
Also no difference depending on what settings I adjusted in-game or out of the game, exposed in the ini files of ENBSeries. I use default fallout4 ini files generated through the launcher.
It was not present while having UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics set to true.

And the pipboy darkening is present here as well, but I rather much prefer the visuals like that than the other way around. If I'm not mistaking here you ignored/"turned off" the vanilla post processing alterations done to that specific screen/part, or...?

DSR is not 100% working thing, it' driver hack, similar to antialiasing, ssao, sli. If game not works with DSR, it's DSR fault first of all, then the game. Driver just trying to detect common scenarios for rendering and fails, because Bethesda hire uncommon developers.

Thanks, will fix pipboy again next time.

It forces vsync in any mode, but if it actually enabled, depends from driver. NVidia long time won't fix vsync issues in windowed mode (and certain OS probably). Don't think they have listen to reports and fixed it in last half year i wasn't there and not used new drivers.

Could you check which parameters activation/deactivation fixing the bug with water puddles? Because i don't see anything wrong myself.

Okay, gonna find and fix bugs now.

Can't see rifle night scope bug, everything is okay for me. Pipboy is fixed now.
Btw, is it okay if instead of precise pow function i'll use interpolation between color*color and color*color*color? It will differ a little when toggling mod on/off, but performance is significantly better.

Question is, how much will it affect quality. If it is indeed big performance boost for very small difference then I would say yes.

Re: Fallout 4 0.284 beta

Hi Boris,

Do you mean to say that if you use the interpolation method instead, then the game image will look slightly different with ENB toggled on and off now already? I mean even with no ENB effects applied, just with the same parameters that are available on 0.284?

Re: Fallout 4 0.284 beta

Boris Hi! I also Saw the bug on static pools reflections turning off depending on angle JAWS Mentioned. This is observable on the floor right near the elevator in vault 111 . It seems that turning to FALSE "disable fake lights" fixes the problem. No other bugs seen atm.

Edit!! Seems that that updating to re installing enb 0.284 fixed the bug !!! Strange maybe a conflict with something.

Re: Fallout 4 0.284 beta

Error difference is about 0.004 between real pow and fake interpolated pow. It's like to change 24 bit image by increasing or decreasing brightness by one value, 0 stays the same, 63 will be 64, 127 stays the same, 192 will be 191, 255 stays the same.

I tested with them, nothing helps to see the bug. May be game setting dependent? Post your fallout4prefs.ini

Re: Fallout 4 0.284 beta

The Rifle Night Scope bug seems to be due to editing Image Space Adapters via xEdit (a few mods do this).
