It has made a difference for me. I have been having a lot of CTDs after I upgraded my video cards to 980 ti sli - it happened mainly after a loaded save. I also had issues with the skyrim itself not wanting to load.

Changing the expandedmemoryx64 to false completely fixed my CTDs. Not sure why but no CTDs is awesome.
Interesting..., but thanks! :)

Not 100% sure yet because of floating nature of the bug, but probably fixed it. All i did are: changed in nvidia control panel vsync mode to adaptive, then back to application controlled, single display performance to multiple display performance and then back to singlel in MPC changed renderer type to system default instead of dx9. These steps forced vsync somehow for video playback and restoring them back do not turn off vsync any more.

Yet not fixed, still see the issue sometime, but much better. At least not that crazy annoying as it was before.

Tested both avi files - MPC-HC 64-bit 1.7.7.128 (Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter) and Video Mixing Renderer 7), Nvidia drivers 353.38. Don't see any checkerboard.

Thanks. Well, i guess just need another videocard, gf7xx or radeon 7xxx as the only available replacements with XP support.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.279

This version is making my fps go from 40 to 50 and back to 40 very very rapidly unless I use the FPSlimit which drops it down to a steady 32 fps, even though I set it to 60. I can't figure out what is causing this since I can run v0.262 just fine.

Just did a quick search because I have nothing better to do with my life (except go to bed) and discovered that the GTX960 has WinXP x64 (IIRC you have 64 bit XP right?) drivers, but the other 900 series cards do not (odd), so that's an option. Also, all the Radeon R7 and R9 2XX series cards also have XP x64 support (not surprising considering most of that line is a refresh of the 7XXX series GPUs except the 285, and 290/X), but the R7/R9 3XX series cards don't, so if the Geforce 700 series or Radeon 7XXX cards are hard to find (I have no idea what the supply is like in Russia right now) you can go with those newer cards. Just thought I'd mention it in case it's helpful :)

Thanks. But are you sure about radeons? Their drivers have listed Rxx only, but not certain models, so i'm sceptic about it. Remember in news several years ago amd stopped support of xp drivers. Also i can't find gf9xx drivers for xp on the official site and don't like the idea to be beta tester of strange builds posted on guru3d.

PS: i need XP 32 bit support drivers.

I use GTX 660 in SLI. Tested in SLI and single card VSYNC issue. Result: I get horizontal line separating frame from frame as expected; no checkerboard.
