You have turned Skyrim into a completely different game that the original developers couldn't even DREAM of. They're going to have to work REAL hard on TES:VI's visuals :P

@Boris
All the changes so far you made are underwater related right none will impact anything else ?

Boris you introduced back then a SSAO fix for transparent water it seems this fix fails on Cloudy weather states, i can see right through the water ?

Especially the Rainy cloudy weathers seem to trigger this

Skyrimclear SSAO On

Skyrim Cloudy Storm Rain SSAO on

SSAO off hmm still slightly visible

Though i can see this effect actually also with ENB disabled , maybe trying finding the answer in Creation Kits weather setup and trying rather to compensate from their then from ENB ?

Semi off-topic

Today, I wanted to do something I didn't for a looooong time : I shifted-F12 to vanilla.
My kids have gone crying, I was about to throw my PC in the toilets and my dog wanted to commit suicide by jumping right off the balcony.
I love to remember about what we came from sometimes....

Yeah my 460 GTX really likes the Crunch Boris throws @ it and it's quiet interesting how good it still can holdup a playable experience even with the crazy overhead :)

Definitely the answer to my translucent storm weather water seems not to be ENB alone

SSAO off still everything becomes visible underwater :(

Hmm could it be the LOD system i guess they never thought about using the Camera like this ?

Image

it looks really like i have to take a look @ the Engine setup or weather itself Skyrimclear also falls apart @ this camera distance, though only for the ship the seaweed stays under the surface SSAO just amplifies it if enabled so ENB cant be the cause

Image

Default Rendering Arggghhh not visible @ all so its a HDR ENB effect apart from SSAO ?
Boris any idea which knob could be turned to reduce this translucency of the water surface maybe the Direct Light or Ambient hmm or the Sky options, Skylighting maybe ?

I found it :)
it's my all time favorite Depth issue troublemaker in 1st person again the IBL, disabling it and the surface is rock solid, 1 click problem solved

Jep SSAO can make it problematic and IBL as well

IBL though can completely eradicate the water surface texture, not even SSAO is this powerful you have to carefully tweak the balance here and recheck results often ;)
