Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

Exteriors crash was reported many times, at least 10 last year or two. But i don't remember, sorry. Each case had own solution.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

Found one solution: FixParallaxTerrain=true was causing it. Disabling it, resolves the CTD. But I don't understand this cause. Previously on Windows 10, I had the same mod setup, the same driver version, the same enb preset and it ran well except the 4064mb limitation.

For me it makes no sense why ParallaxTerrain now would be incompatible.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

FixParallaxTerrain=true modify game shaders. If they fail, then something is in driver or other software which do changes to them.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

Okay, then it must be drivers since I don't run anything else. But drivers version were the same at windows 10. the conclusion thereby would be: other software? Is there a way to check for a noob like me, what else is interferring?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

Sorry, i don't know the answer to your questions. The only thing came to mind from previous reports is Steam beta related, disabling beta helps for some users.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

Hay boris, I've notice this shadowing artifact in vanilla game (effect off), not really a issue though. Just want to leave a note here.
Looks like the background wasn't properly shadowed.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

Background can't be shadowed, because shadows are drawed in prepass and then blurred. Disable mod to see much worse glowing edges where shadows are.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

I think I'm simply going to blame the newest nvidia drivers.

vramtestsize says, I have 11840mb of vram. I can oben about 50 google chrome browser windows, several games, and then run the test again, and it still shows 11840. (while the dx11 value changes if I open games/browser windows as it should.) basically an identical kind of limit like the 4064mb bug in win10.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.305

How about we create a sticky list/thread with effects that aren't possible or too work intensive, with listing the reasons and also stuff that would be good for Skyrim?
That would mean less superfluos questions and work for Boris.
I'm sure you could start right out of your head with a few things you already got asked a few times.

Don't think anybody will read such topic unless pointing on it individually. And it's hard for me to concetrate and make the list of ignored features.
