It will be ok after editing fog and ambient colors will be available, i hope so. Can't tell for sure, but just for my eyes it have incorrect blending math, that's why annoying like you are in the room of smokers.

For what it's worth, I find the visuals in GTA V a pleasure to behold at most times. The graphics are not flawless nor truly photorealistic, but they are tastefully balanced and cohesive, and they seem to 'behave' well across all the game's different scenarios and environments. Also worth considering is that the game PERFORMS very well. Granted it was originally an Xbox 360 / PS3 title, the game looks better than Watch Dogs but runs comfortably at DOUBLE the frame rate on my not-so-new GTX 780m using comparable game settings. For GTA V, I would actually have some GPU overhead to allow for some ENB enhancements ... if by some miracle some day they become a reality. Of course, this could ONLY after ALL game patches have been 'finalized', and IF appropriate access is possible for Boris to implement ENB the way he wants , and (most important) if Boris even has any desire to mod GTA V at all ... etc, etc, see ENB News page for details :D )

Anyway, even simple improvements to fog blending and ambient colors (i.e. to help Los Santos feel less like a 'smoky room') would be greatly appreciated by a lot of folks here (right folks?), and I imagine these kinds of changes would be relatively inexpensive for performance.

As for the 'big picture' Boris, may you persevere through any adversities you may be facing in life. Know that there are many real people who have real appreciation for the work you do and share with the world, and the tremendous amount of TIME and EFFORT you volunteer for the cause of ENB (i.e. playing Skyrim for 1500 hours while really 'playing' Skyrim for zero hours). To me it seems ENB is a never-ending project to help you challenge and focus your mind, and it produces a great tool that we all spend thousands of hours learning and tweaking and trying to make our games look 'pretty' and 'realistic', all while barely understanding the slightest of what 'realistic' truly means. :P

Another persistent MYSTERY is the significance of 'ENB' as a name. I'm pretty sure it has some relation to similar letters in the Cyrillic alphabet ... maybe some phonetic pun or something? Can't quite figure it out! >.<

"ENB" is not anything in cyrillic (Gaelic language actually), it's name and surname shortens of one woman which i was the big fan of more than 10 years (even if i am not any more, that time gave me a lot of inspiration and happiness).

Played V for a while yesterday, as I just got the PC game. (Used to have it on consoles)

Game's the same as PS4/Xbox One version except better shadows (like shadows being cast from headlights...) and displacement on some textures.

Game is looking nice, no doubt about it. Way better optimisation than GTAIV of course, you couldn't do worse than IV after all.
It's unequal though. Some textures are freaking high-res and nice, and just aside you have like 256x256 textures.. it's inconsistent compared to GTA IV.

I installed a savegame 100% because I was too lazy to do the game, the prologue takes forever and I played it enough on consoles...

Still, there are things, still kind of minor after all to improve but yeah :

- Fog / mist is weird, it's like it applies a very weird math on it... and does not really fit the environment. It's like a simple height fog that doesn't take in count their ray marched light shafts...
- Game is flat, very flat. In landscapes it's good as it's full of vegetation. But in the city, it's very flat. Sky lighting would help, like the Skyrim one, no really need to have the GTA4 complex one f.e.
- Cascaded shadow maps aren't blended nicely, it's still obvious even on PC.
- Water (despite the ocean) would need some parallax/displacement on it, like Skyrim. It's flat even if it shows waves. Or even a simple vertex displacement (depends of the geo, but still...).
- Better clouds, they are just textures rotating around the skydome...with one layer of height clouds which aren't very great.
- Lack of cars headlights refraction is striking me because I'm used to your IV ENB lol.

There are optional classic post effects that could be done of course but it's kind of optional...

So far, what I'm thinking is time cycle changes that is very needed.

I think some Boris treatments would be needed after all. I forgot some details and stuff that I was kinda disappointed but I forgot them, lol.
But more important is that you take care of you, and if you wanna do it, obviously.
Remember that there's always a huge silent majority that loves you and your work.
Just do what you think could make you at least better.

Cheers,

Um, it's quite impolite to say something like "half blind" to others; you can disagree with them by giving some solid opinions of yours rather than criticizing them by using those words like above mentioned.

-Peace, amigos-

To be honest I can't see much difference either.
