Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

UPDATE: I have uploaded a compatibility release for ENB v0.121212 which is the most recent pre-v0.13 version of ENB still hosted on Boris' website. This version contains the upgraded SSAO method introduced after the older ENB v0.119 version, along with several other visual and performance improvements. I have re-balanced to what I feel is optimal, and this will now be the main PNENB file until development reaches a peak in the latest ENB v0.13 series.

This version corrects issues that were causing snow to become too dark in certain situations with eye adaptation, and re-balances all ENB settings with many improvements to realism. Things to look forward to in the next release include: Full support for the latest ENB v0.13x+ including even better SSAO, more performance and visual improvements, window glow that turns off indoors at night, and more.

Here's some screens of what the current latest 1.25a looks like:

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

Your enb preset is definitely on the way to becoming a standard, the way you have the lighting for interiors/exteriors is almost perfect for every place I have been in so far.

Edit: Am wondering how to increase the smaa values to a higher setting (Not including super-sampling via drivers, done that), to try to clear up remaining aliased edging, running 1080p it looks great as-is though with quite nice performance on your best preset.

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

Hmm... well it might be possible in a future version of the standalone SMAA, so I will look into that. Right now I do have it set on its maximum quality level by default.

You could enable some level of AA through the Skyrim launcher at the same time SMAA is enabled to double up the AA. In testing the effect seemed somewhat smoother than SMAA alone without major artifacts that I could see.

You also might have luck forcing transparency or other AA in video drivers on this version of ENB (v0.121212).

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

In regards to SMAA quality I went through the smaa.h file and adjusted the threshold to 0.05, the corner rounding to 99 (100 will disable corner rounding in smaa)
I might try increasing the the search steps to try and remove the slight alias from the longer lines, though it is only really for screenshots, or watching a beautiful sunrise/sunset in motion with god rays

On my system it was a negligible increase in taxation on frame-rate.

I am no good at all with DoF tweaking, is there a way to slightly tone down the 'bloom' effect in background when focusing on something up close-up, it is a little distracting for me.

Other than that I think your preset is bloody amazing, best interior/exterior relationship in regards to colour and lighting scheme I have seen yet. Just wished I had not wasted time building one based on the .139 version before finding yours.

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

phinix,

you did not visit your Nexus site for some days :D

Looks like I found a bug I could trace back to the PNENB.esp. I posted in the comments

Also I observe an annoying effect in dark interiors when using the candlelight spell. When that light ball hovers above me, it seems still too ark. When I use the mouse wheel to go in "shoulder" perspective, suddenly the whole lighting of the scene changes. In fact it looks more correct than in ego perspective. Can you confirm that?

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

PNENB has been updated to v1.40 for the latest ENB v0.148. Now includes Sky Lighting, improved SSAO, and dramatically better visuals!

(The latest version is slightly more performance intensive than previous, due to new and much better quality features. However, if you are looking to eek out a few more FPS for minimal impact, you can try changing EnableSkyLighting to false in the [EFFECT] section of enbseries.ini.)

NVIDIA users: The latest 313.96 beta drivers officially fix the "flickering" problem forever, so grab them now. Also, please do NOT apply the enbeffect.fx "fix" for this that has been floating around, as even though people say they didn't notice, it had a horrible impact on color balance in many situations and is now completely unnecessary.

Thanks to everyone that uploaded images for version 1.25 on the Nexus page. I hope you enjoy the latest 1.40 which I believe is the best yet!

Here's a couple screenshots with vanilla Skyrim and the latest PNENB v1.40:

More to follow...

EDIT: Re-uploaded v1.40b for compatibility with the (now) latest ENB v0.149.

Also, this newest 1.40b version contains corrections to the PNENB.esp plugin that resolve issues where in certain cells the water level was set incorrectly. It appears the CK, under certain perfect conditions such as a large negative number water levels, will assign the water level to "default" when editing a world space and saving, even if the water level property isn't touched. There were actually a few of these CK-generated inconsistencies between the plugin and vanilla Skyrim, but I am guessing that since not all world spaces or cells are below the plane defined by "default" it doesn't end up being noticeable.

Anyway, I have manually corrected every entry where this occurred, going through every single record in the plugin by hand in TES5Edit to verify there are no other random unintended "features" in the latest version.

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

Preliminary release version 1.43b for compatibility with ENB v0.152 and the new IBL effect.

Also, user Mindflux at the ENB forums has developed a mod that fixes many of the issues with too bright plants, glowing water, invisible doors, and other similar model-based issues that can crop up with ENB in general. If you are experiencing such issues it may be worth it to take a look at his forum thread and download/test out the mod.

Re: [Skyrim] PNENB

I am new to this and installed enb 0.250... I dont even know if i ask in the right thread. Run BOSS to reorder my mods loading order and managed to run my mods and enb without crashing my Skyrim. I a bit noob to this so it took me long to understand that loading order was a problem with my previous enb istalling tries!
The problem now is that even when I followed the instruction in this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/?
When I run Skyrim, and load game, the game plays in a "windowed mode".
OK not exactrly windowed. It is in full screen but..., Game screen does not fill my entire screen, as there are two big black frame section. One for above and one below. So even If I chose 1920x1200 as a resolution to my game SkyrimPrefs.ini, I see image only in the half screen height and I dont know where is the problem

Edit... Well that is only for tha game. I mean for e.x. when I press "M" to open map the map takes the full screen! Or for example, Enchantment weapon bar is appearing inside the black screen frames or the compass that is located in upper center, this is in the black frame too.
Only the player, and the landscape is displayed in the half height screen but details of text or when opening a menu like my invertory or magic inventorty this is showed all over the screen.

It is a little bit weird

You have selected the Letterbox option during the installation of Realvision.
You can uninstall Realvision and then reinstall it again without checking the Letterbox effect in de installation options window. Or replace the enbeffect.fx file in your main directory with the regular one you can extract from the Realvision 7z archive you downloaded.

Oupsss.!!!! Feeling that a noob is better than me now! Thank you... I will test when I go back home and see.I dad installed real vision before, obviously it didn't work as I hadn't figured out that I needed BOSS to avoid CtDs so I didnt searched the solution to any of my mods. Curious to see if they are doing work with graphics enchancments
